Where Stafford CCAP Records Went

Stafford Men’s Community Corrections Alternative Program was a VADOC community-confinement and CCAP site. It was not the regional adult jail for Stafford arrests. When the facility closed, VADOC relocated participants to other facilities. A move caused by closure was therefore a state-system transfer, not an automatic release to the community.

The later path depends on the person's VADOC record. A relocated participant may appear at another institution, at a community corrections location, or under a probation or parole district after release. A fully discharged person may no longer appear in the locator's current custody or supervision scope. In that case, VADOC's inactive-offender records route becomes important.

Confirm a Stafford CCAP Release

A future release date is a projection, not a completed exit. A District 21 result points to community supervision rather than confinement at the closed CCAP site. No result can mean full discharge, a name mismatch, a record outside public scope, or another limit. It does not establish release by itself.

A relocation record should be described as a transfer unless another record documents release. The closure itself did not erase sentences, create community discharge, or move responsibility to RRJ. That distinction prevents a facility closure date from being mistaken for a person's release date.

Stafford CCAP Record Name Variants

Historical names matter because search results and older paperwork do not always use the final title. “Stafford Correctional Unit #21” and “Stafford Diversion Center” can refer to the same former VADOC location at 384 Eskimo Hill Road. A query that uses only “Stafford Men’s CCAP” may miss an older document indexed under one of those labels.

Stafford CCAP Release and District 21

VADOC District 21 serves Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Fredericksburg from 5620 Southpoint Centre Boulevard, Suite 110, Fredericksburg. Its main number is 540-710-2102. The district is a community-supervision office. It is not a replacement confinement site for Stafford CCAP.

A locator result tied to District 21 usually means the person is supervised in the community on probation, parole, or post-release supervision. Probation is court-ordered community supervision. Parole is supervised release under the state parole framework for an eligible person. Post-release supervision is a period ordered to follow incarceration. None should be labeled current detention at Eskimo Hill Road.

District 21 can be a useful public confirmation point when a result clearly assigns the person there. Staff will not provide protected case plans, treatment information, or medical details. Ask only for the appropriate public status confirmation, and use VADOC records for the underlying historical release documentation.

Stafford CCAP Court Records

The court file can explain the sentence or placement that preceded CCAP, but it does not replace VADOC's movement record. Stafford Circuit Court holds felony sentencing orders, appeals, revocations, and later sentence modifications. General District Court covers misdemeanors and felony preliminary stages. Search each relevant case, since one resolved count can coexist with another order or hold.

A signed order establishes legal terms. It may not show the precise date and time of transfer from Stafford CCAP or the current receiving institution. Pair the court order with the VADOC locator or a VADOC records response. If a public case does not appear, consider sealing, spelling, locality, or system coverage before drawing a conclusion.
